Back in the day, companies would purchase official LMS content in the form of SCORM packages. Now that great content is available everywhere, Learning eXperience Platforms (LXP) make it easy to bring it inhouse and share it with your teams.
LXP is designed for sharing content that may come from inside or outside the company. It is great when skills gaps are small and knowledge is rather static as updating videos and such content is costly.
Peer Learning & LXP go hand-in-hand (like PB&J) to complete various types of knowledge sharing.
One of the better known LXP is Degreed. Degreed integrates with PlusPlus at companies such as Shopify. This is how it works:
- In Degreed, give your workforce two ways to discover curated courses and events. In their feed, they’ll find courses and events that colleagues who share their interests are taking. In the catalog, they’ll browse through items.
- In PlusPlus, we handle enrollment for all courses and events, including sign-ups, reminders, waitlist management, and completion notification.
- Back in Degreed, track all completion courses and live events. Issue certificates as your workforce satisfy requirements.
