About the speaker
Stu Collins is a Technical Program Manager in Customer Success at Zeromatter, a simulation platform that helps robotics and autonomy teams build, test, and train their systems. He sits between enterprise customers and engineering, turning customer goals into work the product team can deliver, building customer training, and keeping accounts healthy. He brings 14 years of experience in high-growth tech across customer support, e-learning, product marketing, L&D, and engineering enablement.
Stu is best known for building onboarding at Cruise. As the company’s first L&D hire, he joined as Cruise began to hyperscale and built a program that welcomed a new class every week or two, from autonomous vehicle architecture and department overviews to SME-led engineering classes and executive Q&As that invited skeptical questions. The program received a 2022 ATD Excellence in Practice award. He later served as Senior Program Manager for Engineering Enablement, building technical learning products for Cruise’s engineers.
Stu earned a BS in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado and a master’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. He started his career at OSIsoft (now part of AVEVA) as a customer support engineer for mission-critical industrial software, where his self-made how-to videos led to roles as e-learning specialist and product marketing manager. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas and led U.S. expansion for agritech startup Fertira Group before joining Zeromatter. Across every role, his throughline is the same: turning technical complexity into stories people can use.
