About the speaker
Bob Mosher is a pioneering voice in workplace learning and the co-founder of Apply Synergies, where he helps organizations implement the Five Moments of Need framework to design learning that drives real performance. With more than 40 years in education and L&D, Bob began his career as an elementary school teacher before joining a tech training startup that grew into Skillsoft. He later served as Senior Director of Learning Strategy and Evangelism at Microsoft, where he oversaw programs that certified over 9 million technologists a year. Despite the scale, Bob saw that training often stopped short of actual performance. That realization led him to reframe his role—not as an instructional designer, but as a performance architect. Today, through Apply Synergies, he helps global enterprises build digital coaches, workflow learning systems, and performance-first strategies that enable people to apply, solve, and adapt in real time. Bob is known for his thought leadership on performance support, workflow learning, and the evolving role of L&D in business. His work continues to influence how organizations worldwide design learning that truly sticks.
