About the speaker

Holly Lee is a Developer Relations Engineer at Expedia, where she focuses on internal developer advocacy and engineering enablement at scale. Over her 17-year career at Expedia, Holly has held roles across operations, data analytics, database engineering, software development, learning and development, and developer relations.

What makes Holly’s journey unique is not just its longevity, but its evolution. She began in an entry-level operations role during the 2008 recession and steadily transitioned into deeply technical positions by following her curiosity and continuously expanding her skill set. Along the way, she developed a passion for helping engineers learn, adopt best practices, and navigate technological change.

Today, Holly works at the intersection of engineering, communication, and learning. She partners with teams to drive adoption of internal tools and standards, helping organizations move beyond early adopters and support the broader engineering population. Her work reflects a core belief: that successful engineering organizations are built not just on code, but on shared understanding, mentorship, and a culture of continuous learning.
