more events and programs can be offered
single source of truth for all events & programs to increase awareness and participation
How to increase awareness of extensive learning program offerings and to reduce administrative behind-the-scenes work of hosting and managing such events so a one person team can help scale the program.
Kia Motors America, the sales subsidiary of Kia in North America, with 5,000+ employees had one single person handling all of Learning & Development programs. They did have an extensiving learning programs arring from live events, lectures, to online courses, there was no single source of truth of what was happening, for who, where, and so much time was spent tracking down emails, checking spreadsheets, and dealing with teh administrative work, and it was simply not scalable, so they decided to partner with PlusPlus.
By implementing PlusPlus and reying on the Events Management feature, they were able to increase the number of events being offered significantly. Now, they offer over 100 events within 6 months, all organized by one person. Automation features including sending calendar invites, tracking enrollments and waitlists, post event surveys and checking attendance, were extremely helpful in reducing the administrative time significantly. Quality of courses being offered is definitely important, but the ability to scale up opportunities and unlocking the time and resource constraints was a huge win for Kia.
Additionally, by being able to have a single source of truth to share all of the learning opportunities and company-wide events helped their Executive Team drive company culture. Prior to PlusPlus, there was a lack of participation due to discoverbility of events and lack of opportunities for employees to engage with one another to share knowledge. From onboarding courses and content, inclusion and diversity programs, to mentorship and coaching offerings, Kia has promoted all of their content on one platform.
They also offered a simple training to teach people peer learning works so they can be great trainers and teachers, and to allow them to stand up their own events using the platform. Employees have been enjoying the ability to create their own formal and informal learning opportunities, including peer-driven office hours, easily and casually on the platform.
